From torn edges to seamless beauty

I take magazines and leaf through them. When something catches my eye, I stop, tear it out, and place it on white paper. This process continues several times. Slowly, something takes shape on the paper and takes on some form, statement, or direction. Sometimes, I add paper clippings, some cut by hand, a Japanese knife, or scissors, and sometimes I add lines in ink, pen, marker, or acrylic paints.
